Underdawgma pick of the week

I am going against two laws of the Underdawgma this week:

#1 I do not think this week's underdawgma will win outright, (but if they do, I will still accept it, of course).

#2 Never go against a home team playing on a surface that is not green.

With all of the teams I mentioned in the last post, it was hard to pick one that is clearly superior, so this week my favorite underdawgma team is a bit of a stretch:

Idaho

Boise will be focusing all week on their game next week at Hawaii. Their game is not only several time zones away, but they are playing the Rainbow Warriors on Friday night. This means that they most likely will have to leave on Wednesday to cure the jet lag.

Idaho is a running team that will try to control the clock. Boise, I believe, has been preparing for the Hawaii passing attack all week, and unless Idaho just lays down and dies, the Vandals should score some points.

Another interesting note is that the last time the Boise defense pitched a shutout, they gave up 67 the following week at home. Guess what? Boise beat Utah State 52 - 0 last Saturday.

Take the 35 points.
