I'm back! (again)

And so is Georgia, after taking care of business three weeks in a row after dismantling future PAC 10 champion, Arizona State!

For an analysis of the LSU game, please read my response to a disgruntled Hispanic gambler from California, (be sure to read the first five or so posts):

Did Hawaii cover last year against Cincy? I cannot remember.

Week 15 - I'm Back!

Sorry for the hibernation. When you pick a favorite to win in week 1, (Michigan) which goes against the primary focus of the blog, you need to sit in the penalty box for a few weeks. Suffice to say, it was a good thing because it's been a tough year for underdogs this year.

Anyway, I am going with a big underdawgma selection for week 15:

HAWAII + 7

Cincinatti has secured a trip to the Orange Bowl, and I expect them to be a bit flat going across the Pacific to play a meaningless game. Actually, the reason I picked Hawaii for Underdawgma's first underdawg selection was because of the accompanying photo.

Week 1

My initial thoughts regarding the slate for week one of the college football season is a resounding, "zzzzzzzzz". While I believe that there may be several underdawgs worthy of consideration to pose an upset, I am having difficulty nominating just one. I believe that all favorites are being reminded of what happened to Michigan last year, and for the most part we will see mostly sloppy football with no big surprises, (unless La. Tech upends the Missing Link, Sylvester Croom).

With this being said, I am going to deviate from my usual underdawg selection, and start the season off by making the following prediction:

Michigan 38
Utah 17

Michigan probably wants to win their home opener this year, and I like nothing better than a favorite with a double incentive:

#1 Their humiliating loss in the home opener last year to Appy State

#2 I like teams who use a big bowl win as a springboard for next year, (Michigan whipped the Gators).

I could care less that Michigan lost their QB, running back, and head coach from last year. They are going to beat Utah's ass.

College Football reports are on the way...

But Olympic women's wrestling may be my new favorite sport.

The State Amateur in Macon

Dawgma returns after a prolonged absence to congratulate fellow links competitor, Hal Greer, on his recent performance in the Georgia State Amateur held at one of his home courses, Idle Hour Country Club. Hal made the cut with an impressive 2-day total of 144, and then coasted to a merry weekend in which nothing else really mattered.

Dawgma was able to capture this exclusive picture of Hal with a rules official during play on Saturday. While the conversation was difficult to interpret, our sources indicate that Hal was pointing out the scene of his first blow-job back in 1983.
